Real Recovery Tips: What Actually Matters (And What Doesn’t)

You can’t out-biohack the basics.

In the age of social media, recovery routines have become increasingly elaborate. Mouth taping, cold face plunges, alkaline water, and sunrise rituals are now part of the daily checklist for many.

While there’s nothing inherently wrong with these practices (if they help you stay consistent, regulate routine, or simply feel good), it’s important to remember: they’re the garnish, not the main meal.

Recovery isn’t built on these minutiae components. It’s built on adequate sleep, sufficient nutrition, effective training structure, and stress management, the foundations that consistently support performance, progress, and longevity.

Don’t let the “biohacks” crowd out the basics. Master the fundamentals first. Then, if there’s space, feel free to add a little garnish.
